When you book either the Gable Villa or the Vineyard Villa at Oakvale Estate, you're guaranteed exclusive access to the farm, ensuring your privacy and solitude during your stay. Apart from the estate's owners residing in the manor house, no other guests will share the 20-hectare property, allowing you a truly secluded retreat.

Deposit & Payment:
• A 25% non-refundable deposit is required within 7 days to confirm a reservation
• The balance is due:
- 6 weeks before arrival for standard travel periods
- 12 weeks before arrival for travel between 15 December and 5 January and 12 – 21 April 2025.
• Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation of the reservation by Oakvale Collection.
Security Deposit:
• A security deposit equivalent to one night's stay is required and will be held as collateral for any damages or missing items during your stay.
• This deposit is fully refundable and will be returned after your stay, provided there are no damages or missing items.
• In the event of any deductions, the remaining balance will be refunded promptly.
Cancellation Policy:
• Regular Cancellations (Non-Force Majeure):
• More than 90 days before arrival: 25% cancellation fee (non-refundable deposit).
• 89–40 days before arrival: 50% cancellation fee.
• 39–0 days before arrival: 100% cancellation fee (no refund).
• No-show or early departure: No refund.
• If the deposit is not paid on time, the booking may be cancelled.
We kindly request that you send us an official proof of payment once the transaction is completed, to ensure smooth processing of your reservation.

Weather & What to Pack
Franschhoek has a Mediterranean climate which is generally characterized by dry, hot summers and cold, wet winters.
SUMMER (December – February): Unbelievable blue sky and beautiful evenings
- Temperature Range: 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F)
- What to Pack: Pack lightweight and breathable clothing to stay comfortable in the heat. Include sun protection such as hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and swimwear. Rainfall minimum.
AUTUMN (March-May): Undoubtedly the best season of the year.
- Temperature Range: 10°C to 26°C (50°F to 79°F)
- What to Pack: Like Spring, layering is key. Carry a medium-weight jacket as evenings can get cool. Comfortable footwear is essential for exploring the outdoors.
WINTER (June – August): Moderate Temperatures and high rainfall
- Temperature Range: 6°C to 18°C (43°F to 64°F)
- What to Pack: Warm clothing is necessary, including sweaters, a heavy jacket, and possibly thermal wear. Consider water-resistant clothing for rainy days, and warm, sturdy footwear.
SPRING (September – November): Experience ‘Bud Break’ when our valley is in full bloom. Pleasant temperatures.
- Temperature Range: 11°C to 24°C (52°F to 75°F)
- What to Pack: Bring light layers that you can add or remove as the day warms up or cools down. A light jacket is useful for cooler mornings and evenings, and don’t forget comfortable shoes for walking.
