Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to maintain culinary excellence.
  • Contribute to menu development, incorporating seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients.
  • Ensure all kitchen operations comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain inventory and manage ordering to ensure the kitchen is fully stocked with fresh ingredients.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate events and special occasions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a sous chef or in a similar role within a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for innovation and attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of international cuisine, with a focus on locally sourced and sustainable ingredients.
  • Formal culinary training or certification is preferred.
